Screen Shot 2013-10-22 at 2.14.46 PMOn October 20th at 3:34 am, a break, enter, and theft occurred at Total Electronics. After unsuccessfully trying to smash their way through the Lexan front window, they went around to the back door, forced it open and gained entry to the store.
The alarm went off, and during the few minutes before the police arrived, four thieves entered and stole a quantity of electronic items valued at $5,300 and inflicted $1,500 damage to the store. They were able to make their getaway before the police arrived.
However, the incident was caught on CCTV and then posted on Facebook by the store owner.
Almost immediately this generated over a hundred tips from which the police were able to identity and arrest four subjects.
Two young offenders and two adults appeared in court in Fort Nelson on Tuesday October 22nd to answer charges of break, enter, and theft and wearing a disguise while committing an indictable offence.
