A ‘neat’ winning team

The Northern Environmental Action Team (NEAT) is pleased to announce that they have been awarded the Non-Profit Achievement Award from the Recycling Council of British Columbia (RCBC).  NEAT shared the award with the Vernon and District Association for Community Living.
This award is voted on by members of the RCBC board and is awarded to organisations that have a history of serving their communities, demonstrate leadership and promote public awareness around the environment.  NEAT has been working in northeast BC since 1989 and was instrumental in initiating recycling services in the Peace River Regional District, and more recently, the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality.
“Any time we, as an organisation, are recognised for the work we are doing on a provincial level, that’s a big compliment. We are highly invested in the communities we work in, and the Mobi Award affirms the work we are doing has value both locally and beyond, which is great,” said Karen Mason-Bennett, Program Coordinator, Northern Environmental Action Team.
