Male and female identified in suspicious death in Vanderhoof

The Vanderhoof RCMP and the North District Major Crime Unit continue to investigate the suspicious death of two Vanderhoof residents.
On January 13th, 2013, the Vanderhoof RCMP responded to a complaint regarding two persons having been found deceased in a residence. RCMP have secured the residence as a crime scene and the investigation is ongoing.
North District Major Crime Unit have identified the victims as 29-year-old, Blaine Albert BARFOOT and 40-year-old, Tara Lee Ann WILLIAMS. RCMP can confirm that the couple were known to local police.
“The RCMP Forensic Identification Unit continues to process the scene as Major Crime investigators try to determine what transpired at the residence,” stated Cst. Lesley Smith, North District Media Relations Officer.
