Police investigate suspicious deaths at Moberly Lake

North District Major Crime Unit and Chetwynd RCMP are currently investigating two suspicious deaths in the Moberly Lake area of Chetwynd B.C.
On November 23rd, 2012 at approximately 9:40 am, the Chetwynd RCMP responded to a complaint regarding two persons having been found deceased in a residence in the Moberly Lake area. After confirming the information, RCMP secured the residence as a crime scene.
Chetwynd RCMP, RCMP Forensic Identification Services and the BC Coroner’s Service are on scene at this time. The North District Major Crime Unit are currently en route to the area to assist with this investigation.
“We are in the very early stages of this investigation and investigators are working to find out what happened inside the residence,” stated Constable Lesley Smith, North District Media Relations Officer.
The names of the two deceased are not being released at this time as the investigation and next of kin notifications are still ongoing.
