Job Fair held in Fort St John

FORT ST. JOHN – On Friday, November 9th, as part of the BC Jobs Plan, a Job Fair took place in Fort St. John at the North Peace Cultural Centre.
The purpose of the job fair was to connect job seekers with potential employers.  Exhibitors included select employers from a range of sectors, as well as post-secondary institutions, industry associations, training authorities, and the health authorities.
The interactive BC Jobs Start Here mobile exhibit, which toured the province this summer, was also on hand to provide information about skills training, employment services, job banks and career development tools.
“Job Fairs help job seekers and potential employers by giving them the chance to meet and create networking opportunities. They give job seekers the chance to learn more about their career options.” –  Peace River North MLA Pat Pimm
