Obituary – Charles Gaudet, 46

September 3rd, 1965 – February 1st, 2012

Charles Gaudet, 46, of Grand- Barachois, NB, passed away on Wednesday February 1st, 2012, at the Whitecourt Health Centre in Whitecourt, AB, as the result of an industrial accident. Born on September 3rd, 1965, in Moncton, NB, he was the son of Albertine (Léger) Gaudet and the late Hervé Gaudet. Charles was a devoted father and family man who was known for his great smile. He was employed with Kos Oilfield Transportation as a winch truck operator. He will be greatly missed by his mother Albertine Gaudet of Shediac; his children, whom he adored, Isabelle and Justin; three brothers Omer (Rose) of Pointe-du-Chêne, Francis (Brigitte) of Grand-Barachois, and Daniel (Darlene) of Cormier Village; one sister Joanne LeBlanc (Réjean) of Trois Ruisseax; his special friend Nancy Bates of Fort Nelson, BC; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Besides his father, Charles was predeceased by his sister Jeannette Reade. The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297). Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2pm until 4pm and 7pm until 9pm; and Wednesday from 9am until the time of departure at 10am. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint-Henri R.C. Church, Grand-Barachois, on Wednesday February 8th, 2012, at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Charles’ memory, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. Henri Cemetery Fund, and to the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital Foundation (Oncology) will be gratefully accepted.
